FAQ’s

We guessed you might need to know…

Getting your food delivered is now one of the most convenient ways to shop – but there may be a few things you need to ask us before you place your order. We’ve tried to put down some of the most common things that get fired our way, however, if we haven’t answered your question please email us on info@porcus.co.uk or , if it’s easier, call us on 07595 506820 – we are always happy to talk about our passion for our produce!

Thank you for supporting our small farm, we couldn’t do what we do without you – and we are most grateful you care!

Where is included in your free local delivery?*

Given current circumstances our FREE local delivery includes Todmorden, Hebden, Bacup (including Stacksteads, Weir & Britannia), with standard contact free drop off.

*This service is subject to change and may be removed in the future at our discretion.

How do you send meat in the post?

The goods will arrive in a chiller box with ice packs, keeping your product fresh for up to 36 hours. (Please may we ask that you reuse or recycle these responsibly.)

When will my goods arrive?

We will do our utmost to get your order to you asap but kindly ask that you bare with us at busy times. The nature of small-scale farming means that we need time and care to make sure everything is spot on before it leaves us destined for your table.

We will send you an email confirmation on receipt of your order and another once the order is due to leave us. We use a 24-hour overnight service and all our fresh goods are packed in ice and in environmentally sound Puffin Packaging. We do not use Saturday deliveries due to cost and any orders outside of the UK mainland ( including the Scottish Highland) can take 48 hours to arrive. If you have any special delivery requirements please add these to the notes on the order – or send us an email ( info@porcus.co.uk) and we will make sure we pass this on to the courier. Thank you.

Can I have my goods delivered on a Saturday?

Saturday deliveries are an option, but please be aware that this service comes at a considerable uplift from the normal delivery costs and is not covered under ‘free delivery’ on orders over £70.

Can I collect from the farm?

Yes, you can collect from the farm! The onsite shop opens Friday and Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm or, if you give us a call to let us know when you wish to collect, we can fit you in during the week – no problem!

Do you have an onsite shop?

Yes, we do! The onsite shop is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am – 4 pm. (longer hours running up to Christmas – please check online for full Christmas opening hours!) We have lots of ‘specials’, including freshly baked sausage rolls and pies and many other goodies to tempt you. There is a good selection of our produce on the shelves and plenty of samples to send your taste buds happy!

May we kindly ask –  if you would like to purchase fresh meat, cut to how you like it, please give us as much notice as possible as we hate to rush something so special!

Can I still order if i won't be home to take delivery?

Please check that your phone number and email address is correct and that, if you are not at home when the parcel is due (Fridays unless otherwise agreed), you nominated a neighbour or safe space for your parcel to be left with/in. Courier services may leave a card if they could not find you – they often have a local drop off point in case of emergency, please keep an eye out for this if you have been away from the designated delivery point during the delivery day.

My goods haven't arrived, what should I do?

If the goods have not arrived by 4pm on the nominated day of delivery, please contact us on 07539 836449 as a matter of urgency.

Do I need a paypal account?

Paypal is our chosen payment gateway, but you don’t need to make an account to use this simply continue without an account to use a credit or debit card.
