At Porcus we are fairly confident to describe ourselves as total foodies. We love everything about a great plate of food and even more so if its local and made by like minded people. We are huge fans of sitting around the table with friends and family and lolling away the day (when we get the chance!) with delightful recipes and wonderful stories to match. Here we will give you some simple ideas on how you can use Porcus goodies to made your table the place to be!
If you have any of your own recipes that you’d wish to share with us, please get in touch and we will try to add them for others to share. Photos of your creations would also help. Please send them to info@porcus.co.uk – add your name and location and we’ll credit you for your creation!

The first quarter of the year is always the ‘Doom Month’ for farmers, and sadly, more and more don’t make it through every year. The weather is a battle; the animals need more food to keep healthy and dry beds and lots of straw to sleep cosy and warm. The man/woman hours required to sort all this is immense. This doubles and triples costs – yet after the indulgences of Christmas – food, and where it comes from, is the last thing on people’s minds!
Please support your farmers and growers during the most challenging time of the year. Please do your shopping at the Farm Shops and the Farm Gate. The Supermarkets can weather the ‘cold’, but Farms need that extra help, especially right now!
